Bài tập 20 ( Đề thi chọn HSG Hungary, 1915 )
Chứng minh rằng nếu a, b là những số dương thì phương trình :
$ \dfrac{1}{x} + \dfrac{1}{x - a} + \dfrac{1}{x + b} = 0$
có hai nghiệm $ x_1, x_2 ( x_1 > x_2 )$ sao cho : $ \dfrac{a}{3} < x_1 < \dfrac{2a}{3}$ và $ \dfrac{-2b}{3} < x_2 < \dfrac{- b}{3}$.
Ta có:$\dfrac{1}{x} + \dfrac{1}{{x - a}} + \dfrac{1}{{x + b}} = 0$
$ \Leftrightarrow 3x^2 - 2x(a - b) - ab = 0$
$\Delta ' = (a - b)^2 - 3( - ab) = (a + \dfrac{b}{2})^2 + \dfrac{{3b^2 }}{4} > 0$ (vì $b>0$)
Phương trình có 2 ngiệm phân biệt, theo Vi-ét ta có:
$\left\{ \begin{array}{l} x_1 + x_2 = \dfrac{{2(a - b)}}{3} \\ x_1 x_2 = \dfrac{{ - ab}}{3} < 0 \\ \end{array} \right.$
Suy ra:$x_1 > 0 > x_2 $
Ta có: $\dfrac{1}{{a - x_1 }} = \dfrac{1}{{x_1 }} + \dfrac{1}{{x_1 + b}} > 0$
Lại có: $\dfrac{1}{{x_1 }} + \dfrac{1}{{x_1 + b}} > \dfrac{1}{{2x_1 }}$
$ \Leftrightarrow \dfrac{1}{{a - x_1 }} > \dfrac{1}{{2x_1 }}$
$ \Leftrightarrow a - x_1 < 2x_1 $
$ \Leftrightarrow a < 3x_1 $
$ \Leftrightarrow \dfrac{a}{3} < x_1 $
Cm tương tự ta được $x_1 < \dfrac{{2a}}{3}$
Đặt: $ - x_2 = c > 0$ Ta có:
$\dfrac{1}{{b - c}} = \dfrac{1}{{a + c}} + \dfrac{1}{c} > 0$
Cần Cm $\dfrac{{2b}}{3} > c > \dfrac{b}{3}$
Ta có: $a + c > c$
$ \Leftrightarrow \dfrac{1}{{a + c}} < \dfrac{1}{c}$
$ \Leftrightarrow \dfrac{1}{{a + c}} + \dfrac{1}{c} < \dfrac{2}{c}$
$ \Leftrightarrow \dfrac{1}{{b - c}} < \dfrac{2}{c}$
$ \Leftrightarrow b - c > \dfrac{c}{2}$
$ \Leftrightarrow b > \dfrac{{3c}}{2}$
$ \Leftrightarrow \dfrac{{2b}}{3} > c$
Tiếp tục Cm tương tự ta có;$c > \dfrac{b}{3}$
