Cho số nguyên $k>1$ và số nguyên tố $p=6k+1$. Chứng minh với $m=2^p-1$ thì $$\dfrac{2^{m-1}-1}{127m}$$ là số tự nhiên.

Discovery is a child’s privilege. I mean the small child, the child who is not afraid to be wrong, to look silly, to not be serious, and to act differently from everyone else. He is also not afraid that the things he is interested in are in bad taste or turn out to be different from his expectations, from what they should be, or rather he is not afraid of what they actually are. He ignores the silent and flawless consensus that is part of the air we breathe – the consensus of all the people who are, or are reputed to be, reasonable.

Cho số nguyên $k>1$ và số nguyên tố $p=6k+1$. Chứng minh với $m=2^p-1$ thì $$\dfrac{2^{m-1}-1}{127m}$$ là số tự nhiên.
Ta cần chứng minh $2^{m-1}-1$ chia hết cho $m$ và $127$. Hơn nữa, $\gcd(m,127) = 1$.
Với $p$ là số nguyên tố thì $2^{p-1} \equiv 1 \mod p$ (Định lý nhỏ Fermat). Vậy ta có thể đặt $2^{p-1} -1 = qp$ với $q$ là số tự nhiên. Ta suy ra
$$2^{m-1} - 1 = 2^{2(2^{p-1} - 1)} -1 = 2^{2qp} - 1 = (2^p)^{2q}-1 = (2^p-1)(\ldots)$$
Ở đây, ta dùng $A^n -1 = (A-1)(A^{n-1} + A^{n-2} +\dots + 1)$.
Từ đó, $m \ | \ 2^{m-1} - 1$.
Vì $p=6k+1$ nên $m -1 = 2^p-2 = 2 (2^{6k}-1) = 2(64^k-1)$. Mặt khác, $64 \equiv 1 \mod 7 $ nên $64^k \equiv 1 \mod 7$. Ta suy ra $7 \ | \ m-1$, tức là $m-1 = 7s$ với $s$ là một số tự nhiên. Do đó
$$2^{m-1} - 1 = 2^{7s} - 1 = 128^s - 1 = (128 -1) (\ldots)$$
Vậy thì $127 \ | \ 2^{m-1}-1$.
Cuối cùng, ta cần chứng minh $\gcd(m,127) = 1$. Thực vậy, ước số của số Mersenne $M_p = 2^p-1$ chỉ có thể có dạng $2kp+1$. Trong khi đó $127 = 2\cdot 3^2\cdot 7 +1$ không có dạng này (vì $k>1$). Vậy, $127$ không là ước số của $m$ và do đó ta có điều cần chứng minh.
